What helps you to feel like Christmas is coming?
As a kid the Saturday after Thanksgiving our ward would have a big party and then we would all walk down the street to watch the Christmas lights get turned on at the LA Temple and then we would go back and sing Christmas carols and see Santa. That was the official start of Christmas for me.
Now that I am older I have had to find other little traditions that make it Christmas for me. One of my favorites is to sit down and watch Miracle on 34th Street. I love the new version, but hear that the old one is good as well. I got about half way through watching it last night when I remembered that I needed to make a phone call. I am excited to go home and finish it tonight.
I would have to say food! The cookies, treats, eggnog, etc. OH and the mint m&m’s! Merry Christmas! Where will you be celebrating this year?
This is one of our very favorite movies. So good! The original one is really good too. They show it on t.v. during the holidays so you may be able to catch it. Decorating my house gets me in the mood for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! It is a LOT of work, but when it is done I love it. :o)
OH, the main thing that got me in the Christmas mood this year was seeing YOUR creation come hot off the press at Kinko’s last Wednesday. I LOVE the card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The tree auction, which they aren’t having anymore, decorating the house, putting the lights on Grandma and our homes, driving around looking at Christmas lights, and the wonderful smell of baking cookies!
This movie was on t.v. last night. I watched bits and pieces of it. SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
